    Believe

    Filed under: cricket, philosophy — Aneesh @ 10:31 am

    I read this on a cricket coaching site. It’s a poem about being able believe in your ability to win.
    You can read the article on envisioning success at PitchVision.com

    If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost;
    For out in the world you’ll find
    Success begins with a fellow’s will;
    It’s all in a state of mind.

    If you think you are beaten, you are:
    If you think you dare not, you won’t
    If you like to win, but don’t think you can
    It’s almost certain you won’t.

    For many a game is lost,
    Ere even a play is run,
    And many a coward fails
    Ere even his work begun.

    Think big and your deeds will grow,
    Think small and you’ll fall behind;
    Think that you CAN and you WILL;
    It’s all in a state of mind.

    If you think you are out-classed, you are;
    You’ve got to think high to rise;
    You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
    You can ever win a prize.

    Life’s battles don’t always go
    To the stronger or faster man,
    But sooner or later, the man who wins
    Is the fellow who thinks he can.

    The Future of Cars

    Filed under: automobile, cool stuff, technology — Tags: , , — Aneesh @ 7:51 pm

    I read an article on yahoo yesterday about Aptera, a car by a company called Accelerated Composites and I thought it was really cool. The idea behind it is to create the body of the car with use of composites which allows it to be aerodynamic.
    This car travels 300 Miles Per Gallon of Gas(Petroleum) and upto 95 Miles per hour. It will be available for sale in California in late 2008 initially. I’m a frequent driver and the idea of having to fill up gas, especially at the current costs, only once every 300 miles feels like a dream. If you’re interested to you can check out how Aptera Works. You can also watch the video below where they demo the car.

    Here’s another car but this one runs on hot acompressed air. Developed in France, funded by an Indian automobile giant called Tata Motors. This car will cost you less than $3 bucks per fill up. Also supposedly as you will hear in the video, it is a relatively inexpensive buy. How does the air car work you say? Find out here.

    If they are actually able to mass produce these cars then it will be a major step in solving the worlds fuel and resource crisis. And equally importantly it will definitely help reduce the rapid deterioration of our envionment. I for one, hope they come through.
